March 1, 2015

I don’t have the time to post a longer blog, but I thought I’d send along this photo. And as they say, “IT AIN’T OVER UNTIL IT’S OVER.” SNOW AGAIN TODAY! I heard from a friend UP north who said it was snowing there earlier in the day. I thought we’d miss this storm, or better yet, I thought this storm would miss NYC. But alas, the ground is turning white, and the drops of snow are heavy, and rather than floating down, they plop on to you like tiny fat juicy drops that splash on your face. Ah winter. I’m not really complaining, but this is getting to be a bit tiresome. Spring cannot be that far away. Can it?

it's snowing again

Lovely photo – but it looks too much like what’s outside my window. Ugh. Not only are they giving names to these storms, “accumulations” and wind chill factors, but now I hear ice estimates. TMI.

I feel like I’ve moved to a new planet the weather is so changed. But thank you for warming my late afternoon with your presence. And thank you for your lovely comment. Keep those toes warm!!

Here In the NW we are experiencing Spring type weather. We haven’t had a winter, makes me wonder what is coming our way. Pondering that it could be a wet summer.

Hi Sharon, so great to hear about what’s going on in the NW. Yeah, it could be a real sloppy summer for you guys. I just hope that the rivers don’t overflow!! But I envy you knowing that soon you’ll have flowers blooming. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Enjoy the spring weather. I’ll bet it’s really pretty!!

Lovely photo – but it doesn’t look that different outside my window. Ugh. I’ve seen enough snowmen . . .

Hello, Margaret, I cherished those deep snow days when I skied down 5th Ave to work on W. 52nd St! But, now, I look out the windows and pray the spring winds will blow away this stuff!

Yes, Thelma, though I don’t do well on skies, I can appreciate those days, some years ago, when I’d roll in the snow and have fun rarely feeling the freezing temperatures. But I do believe that spring will eventually show up, but it won’t be tomorrow. Stay warm and dry, and keep looking for those first blooms of spring. Thanks for joining in on the dialogue and always, thank you for your visit.

Perfect – snowed here a bit as well – but I refuse to take it seriously

    • Pushing Time on March 3, 2015 at 6:50 am

Eric, you have the right attitude. In December you take the snow storms seriously. In March, the snow is only a rough patch just before spring. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Hey, how about a spring visit to NYC?? Now that should be fun and we’ll try to arrange some lovely weather for you.

We have sunny skies, but it is hitting the on the cold side…lower 30’s to mid to low 20’s in the night and early mornings. Unusual weather to say the least. I am with Sharon, I wonder what this summer will be like. Rain or drought? With weather, it is a wait and see.

    • Pushing Time on March 3, 2015 at 12:18 pm

Hi Toddi! It’s always so nice to hear from you. Yes, the weather is certainly something that is an unpredictable experience these days. I hope spring and summer will be a smooth run of time. Take care. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy painting life today to participate in the blog’s dialogue.
